Final Fantasy XIV – Sigmascape V2.0 (Savage) / O6S Guide

Mechanics & Rotation

Note: The boss is omni-directional and has a stationary position. You'll be the ones following him around

Note: Notice in the arena that there are four paint splatters on the floor (pink and yellow on left, black and blue on right) as well as canvasses beside each. You will utilize them to deal with certain mechanics later.

To use or activate them, you must first step on a paint- there will be a swirling color on your avatar and a color buff on your status for confirmation, then go to the canvass beside it and use the special 'Paint' action on your hotbar to activate it or gain the buff. For example, if I use the wording "Paint on Blue" later on, it means you need to step on the blue splatter first, then step on its corresponding canvas, and then use the Paint action to activate it

Demonic Howl - raid-wide AoE damage

Demonic Shear - tank buster

Possession: Fire - heavy fire AoE damage. Paint on Blue to gain fire buff before the cast finishes

Demonic Storm - stack marker that appears in the southeast-ish area of the map. Everyone stack here to share damage. If confident, melee can ignore the stacking mechanic but use shields and prepare to heal right after because Demonic Howl will follow immediately

Demonic Howl

Poltergeist - Goddess Chadarnook will summon an untargettable ghost from the west that will tether to and go after a healer. Healer must face it to stop it from moving e.g. the ghost in Super Mario World where the ghost won't move if you look at it face to face. Avoid coming into contact with it as it will kill you

Demonic Shear

Divine Lure - Goddess Chadarnook will cast a gaze spell that will confuse everyone who is facing the west. To handle this, just make sure you're looking away when the cast bar finishes

Note: The Poltergeist + Divine Lure combo will be tricky for the tethered healer because he will need to face west to stop the ghost from its tracks, and at the same time he will need to look away on Divine Lure. The trick here is to keep looking at the ghost and just look away when the cast bar for Divine Lure is about to finish. Just be mindful of the cast bars. Alternatively, you can kite the ghost around until it disappears

Demonic Howl

Demonic Pain - two tanks will be tethered to two DPS. They must move away from each other lest they will explode. A thick tether means you will blow up and need to move away more. When the line becomes thin electricity-like purple, then it is safe. The minimum range to be safe is max melee range on opposite sides. If handled properly, everyone can still DPS the boss while handling the mechanic

Demonic Howl

Release - Demon Chadarnook will go to the middle and will start casting Possession right after

Possession: Earth - Stack on the southwest edge to bait the huge earthquake AoE markers, run away after they spawn / before it erupts

Demonic Shear

Possession: Wind - Easterly adds will appear everywhere and one player (off-tank or healer) must Paint on Pink to transform into Typhon and blow away the adds standing on the southwest area where the party is

Demonic Howl x2

Last Kiss - marker on one DPS that will deal heavy damage and must be passed on to and be mitigated by the off-tank. Check your status bar to make sure you've passed the debuff

Possession: Fire + Earth + Water - upon seeing the cast bar, everyone must (1) Paint on Blue to gain the fire buff, and then (2) Paint on Black to float above the ground to avoid the earthquake attack. Lastly, (3) everyone immediately move to the northeast edge to avoid the Flash Flood that's about to come

Materialize - Not sure what this actually does. Maybe it shows the avatars of the paintings when he casts this the first time? Don't mind it

Demonic Pain

Lullaby - inflicts everyone with the Apathetic debuff that constantly drains HP, MP and TP until the Siren canvass in the middle is painted with all four colors. You can assign four ranged players (including healers) one color each and have them paint the middle canvas when the mechanic drops. Handling this too late will get everyone killed with the double Demonic Howl that will follow so take caution

Demonic Howl x2
Demonic Shear

Demonic Stone - marks 2 DPS with 4 AoE attacks each that will follow them around. They must move away from everyone to avoid getting themselves and the other players damaged

Possession: Earth + Wind + Water - This is a bit complicated so I'll enumerate what to do step by step:

1.) While boss is casting Possession, let one player (off tank or healer) Paint on both Yellow and Pink, in that order, to (a) erect the stone pillar and (b) ride on Typhon for the upcoming mechanics

2.) Everyone must stack in the southwest corner to bait the huge AoE earthquake markers and then avoid them

3) Hide behind the rock standing opposite the water painting to protect yourselves from the tidal wave. At the same time, the player on Typhon can start shooing away the Easterly adds in the area before they explode

Demonic Howl
Materialize

Demonic Spout x2 - marks all DPS with AoE attacks twice. To handle this, imagine markers A and B. Everyone stay in A to bait the first four Demon Spouts, then run to B to bait the second batch, and then back to A to stack for the Demonic Storm that will immediately follow

Last Kiss

Flash Flood - same mechanic as the Flash Flood earlier but this will take you by surprise so be on your toes. Stay on the southwest edge if you don't want to worry about anything

Possession: Fire + Earth + Wind - same mechanic as Fire + Earth (get fire buff and float above ground by painting on Blue and Black). The only difference is that instead of a Flash Flood, a Flash Gale (shareable AoE damage) will spawn on the west. You can either (a) get everyone to stack and share damage or (b) have your Paladin use Hallowed Ground and eat the AoE alone so everyone can continue DPSing
