MECHANICS & ROTATION

PHASE 1

Empty Wave - raid-wide AoE

Unshadowed Stake - 2-hit heavy tankbuster on a random tank with 1st hit to give you magic vulnerability debuff, 2nd hit can be shared but target tank must be behind the others

To handle:
A.) Target tank uses invulnerability on both hits or
B.) 1st hit- target tank solos with mitigation, 2nd hit - other tank stands IN FRONT of him with mitigation

Void Gates and Balls

1.) Portals will spawn at the south- always Red on Lane 2, Blue on Lane 3
2.) 4 Balls will spawn at the north, 1 in each lane. They will do straight-line AoE towards south. 1st pair spawns, 2nd pair spawns, 1st pair attacks, 2nd pair attacks. Dodge both pairs
3.) Note which Portal Color at the south will be hit first by the 1st pair of Balls

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV
E.g. Balls on Lanes 1 and 3 will rush first, hitting Blue first

4.) Additional Portals will spawn everywhere, but focus only on the northern EAST and WEST
5.) East Portals will always fire Balls based on which color was first hit previously
6.) The color that will be hit first on the West Portals will be the basis for the next sets
7.) To dodge, sidestep on the adjacent tiles on either the East or West highlighted areas:

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIVEden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV
E.g. Left: Blue first, then Red | Right: Since Red is hit first previously, Red first then Blue

6.) Basing from the right photo above, next set would be Blue first and then Red

Everyone stack in the middle for the next mechanic

Betwixt Worlds

1.) 2 vertical walls will split the arena into 3 areas (Left, Mid, Right)
2.) 4 Balls at the front will tether to 4 DPS
3.) Both Healers will get marked with shareable AoE
2.) Everyone to be teleported relative to where the markers are positioned on their character
5.) Balls will rush towards their tethers + AoEs will resolve

How to handle:
1.) Follow positioning. This should be your FINAL positions AFTER the teleport:

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

2.) DPS tethered to Balls 1 and 2 teleport to Right Side with #1 in front
3.) DPS tethered to Balls 3 and 4 teleport to Left Side with #4 in front
4.) MT/H1 teleport to the Middle Left side while ST/H2 teleport to the Middle Right

Empty Wave
Unshadowed Stake

Words of Motion + False Moonlight + Away with Thee

1.) Big floor AoEs on everyone
2.) Another AoE on everyone that will leave a big puddle where they exploded
3.) Balls on Lane 1 and 4 will attack + AoEs resolve + Puddles drop
4.) Teleport markers appear on everyone
5.) Shareable AoE on random DPS + circle AoE Markers on ALL Tanks and Healers
6.) Balls on Lane 2 and 3 will attack
6.) Everyone teleports, afterwards circle AoEs + shareable AoE resolve

How to handle:
1.) Everyone stack in middle to bait floor AoEs first
2.) Move to your assigned position to drop puddles on Lanes 2 and 3

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIVEden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

3.) Move outwards after Balls 1 and 4 resolve to avoid the upcoming Balls 2 and 3

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

4.) Follow positioning below. This should be your final positions AFTER the teleport:

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

ADDS PHASE

1.) Adds will spawn at N (Blasphemy), W (Idolatry) and E (Idolatry)
2.) Split the party in half to get the W and E adds (1T 1H 2DPS each)
3.) Have the Tanks move both adds to the south a bit so it won't get close to N Add when it moves

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

4.) N Add will either move to left or right corner. Adds should not be close to each other so adjust accordingly
5.) If he goes to left, rotation will be counter-clockwise
6.) If he goes to right, rotation will be clockwise
7.) Position adds on corners

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIVEden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV
Left: Counter-clockwise if he moves to left | Right: Clockwise if he moves to right

6.) Every after Shareable AoE, N Add will keep moving so move to the next corner in accordance to his direction

Here's the rotation of both E and W Adds to their teams:

Straightline AoEs - 2 line AoEs from N Add to random players on each team. Baitable

Shareable AoE - on random players on each team. Stack together and don't forget to use shields and damage reduction skills. Watch out for line AoEs

MOVE TO NEXT CORNER!

Advent of Light - must be SILENCED by both tanks while casting
Straightline AoEs

Straightline AoEs
Shareable AoE

MOVE TO NEXT CORNER!

Strength in Numbers (Vertical) - donut AoE. Stay near your add

Away with Thee - teleport in accordance to the direction the N-Add is going, ergo, towards the next corner you're supposed to go

Teleport + Shareable AoE

MOVE TO NEXT CORNER!

Strength in Numbers (Vertical or Horizontal) - donut AoE if vertical- stay near add, big AoE if horizontal- run away towards the N Add!

Straightline AoEs
Shareable AoE

MOVE JUST A LITTLE BIT

Explosion - enrage for adds. Kill both before cast completes

GO KILL N ADD (BLASPHEMY)

Unearned Envy x6 - raid-wide AoE. Use shields and damage reduction skills

Explosion - same enrage mechanic. Kill it before cast completes

PHASE 2

Words of Unity (Check your Color!)

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

1.) 4 players will have White Aura, 4 others will have Black
2.) 4 Balls at north - 2 Balls will be either Black or White, then the other 2 Balls will be the opposite color
3.) Everyone quickly line up to Lane 1 or 4 (whichever has their opposite color), with the Tanks in front popping a cooldown

Words of Entrapment (Check your Color!)

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

1.) Balls on cardinals + Towers on intercardinals
2.) Tanks take care of the N and E balls, they go to the Ball with the opposite color
3.) Healers go to S and W balls, each to the ball opposite their color
4.) Get close to Balls quickly as they tether to nearest player. Follow position in photo as to avoid Healers and Tanks being in the same lane
5.) DPS spread on the intercardinal towers opposite to their colors

Words of Unity (Check your Color!)

Auras + Portals

1.) It's the same as the portals in Phase 1, with a few added kinks
2.) Instead of looking which goes in what color first and then dodge, you look for what Bird Color (Black or White) goes into what Portal Color (Blue or Red) so you'll know where your opposite color is
3.) As usual, you need to be hit by the opposite color
4.) Position on northern part of Lane 1 or 4
5.) Eastern Portals will fire
6.) All Birds fire at once, not by pairs like in Phase 1

I'll be explaining 2 kinds of strategies - the complicated one and the easy one:

Complicated Strategy

Here I'll be showing you what happens step-by-step and my thought process. I focus on only one Bird Color.

In the example below, I memorize where the White Bird goes and then check My Color. If I'm Black, I go to where the White Bird is, and if I'm White, I stay away and go to the other Portal. Example:

Pre-Portals Set
Check My Color - Black Aura
Move to get hit by White Balls - change to White
Which Ball went to which Portal? White is Red

1st Set
Reminder: White is Red, I am White
Move to get hit by Black (Blue Portal) - change to Black
Which Ball went to which Portal? White is Red

> Everyone go to middle to drop their AoE Puddles and then go back

2nd Set
Reminder: White is Red, I am Black
Move to get hit by White (Red Portal) - change to White
Which Ball went to which Portal? White is Blue

> Everyone gets AoE that will change their color. Same colors can stack, different colors cannot: change to Black

3rd Set
Reminder: White is Blue, I am Black
Move to get hit by White (Blue Portal)

Easy Strategy

Don't want to be bothered with too much thinking? Actually, there's an easier and more efficient way! All you have to do is know which Portal you'll go to first, then from there, depending on the pattern, you'll either just:

A.) Stay in the same tile for all 3 sets or
B.) Alternate tiles each set

Here's How:

1.) Before the 1st Set, determine if you'll be going to Blue or Red Portal when they appear
2.) When the Portals appear, position yourself first on your 'correct' Portal to ensure safety while you monitor the patterns
3.) Take a look at the patterns of the EAST and WEST Portals to know if you'll be staying or moving

A.) If the Portals start with the same positions on East and West, alternate tiles every set

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

In the example above, the Healer is set to get Black Bird from Blue on the First Set. So the safe spots per set would be BLUE -> RED -> BLUE

The Scenario:

1st Set - Go to B (Blue)
-> Go to middle to drop puddles then go back
2nd Set - Go to A (Red)
-> AoEs explode, avoid stacking with opposite color
3rd Set - Go to B (Blue)

B.) If the Portals start with different colors on East and West, stay in the same tile for all 3 Sets

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

In the example above, the Healer is set to get Black Bird from Blue on the First Set. So the safe spots per set would be BLUE -> BLUE -> BLUE

The Scenario:

1st Set - Go to B (Blue)
-> Go to middle to drop puddles then go back
2nd Set - Go to B (Blue)
-> AoEs explode, avoid stacking with opposite color
3rd Set - Go to B (Blue)

Pro Tip:

It's a bit tedious to move the camera to look at both East and West Portals so here's a trick-

If you look at the North portals, they're actually a reflection of the West Portals. Specifically, the North Portal near East is a copy of the West Portal in front of A!

So you don't have to look at West, but just the Right Portal at the North near you to check the pattern. See the glowing portals on N and W:

Empty Wave
Unshadowed Stake

Tornadoes

1.) Knockback AoE from Center. Everyone stack at NE in a way you will be pushed to a corner. Not being pushed to a corner will have you pushed off the edge

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

2.) The arena will be split into 3: NE, NW and S by a rotating AoE

3.) Everyone will get colored again (Black or White)

Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm (Savage) E7S Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

4.) Both Tanks position to South
5.) White H and DPS go to NW
6.) Black H and DPS go to NE

7.) As the AoE rotates, Orbs will spawn and must be popped by the opposite color

8.) DO NOT be clipped by the AoE of the orbs when they pop, unless you're the one popping

9.) For H and DPS, orb popping sequence would be H -> MELEE -> RANGED

10.) For Tanks, any as long as they're the opposite color and that the other tank is out of AoE range

11.) There will be a total of 3 Orbs to pop per team so be careful

Threefold Grace x3 - donut layers of Black and White AoEs on the whole arena. Just take not of your Color and stand on the opposite color

    1. Sorry for the terribly late reply- you don't probably need my answer anymore. 😅 Out of curiosity's sake, which photos are you talking about?
